I am an Integrative Counsellor, meaning that I do not specialise in a particular type of counselling. This means that I am able to tailor my approach to the needs of the individual. Through using these different approaches I am then able to be flexible and adapt to the changing needs and priorities of the client.
I am also a hypnotherapist. I find this approach very useful indeed, as it can help us to quickly get to the cause of the issue by using the power of someone’s sub-conscious. It can therefore enable deep changes, and is very good at habit breaking; like weight loss and stop smoking. However, it can also be very helpful with trauma, meaning that this can be dealt with quickly in a far less upsetting way. Hypnosis is a completely natural state that everyone enters into each day whenever they act on ‘automatic pilot’. During hypnotherapy the client is in full control, and is aware of everything that is being said. Hypnotherapy is very useful in issues that do not appear to have a reason or cause, like non-medically related insomnia or impotence. This is because our sub-conscious is very powerful and it stores all of our memories, habits and beliefs. By accessing the sub-conscious directly I can help unlock the key to your issue.
